This year marks the third year for the R-Gap Project Research, an industry-academia
\r\ncollaboration consortium run by the Shiga Prefectural Federation of Small and Medium
\r\nEnterprises and Ryukoku University. We has participated as a judge for the poster session
\r\nsince the first year.<\/p>\r\n
The R-Gap Project Research aims to develop students’ initiative and problem-solving skills
\r\nby having them search for problems on their own, conduct research, experiments, and analysis,
\r\nand present the results in the poster session. This year, 30 themes were presented.<\/p>\r\n
Themes that students have taken over from their seniors and are upgrading, and those that
\r\nare new to manufacturing. There are various themes, including those that were done alone,
\r\nthose that were done in a team, those that were completed, and those that were not completed.<\/p>\r\n
What they all had in common was the lively faces of the students making the presentations.
\r\nThis year, there are four awards named after the judging companies. There is also our
\r\ncompany’s “Shinko Seiki Co., Ltd. Award.” The results of the judging will be announced at
\r\nthe awards ceremony on November 6th.
