Supporting the continued social participation of artists with disabilities. This month’s work is “Narcissist.”
We support the continued social participation of artists with disabilities, respecting their
individuality and diversity.
With the cooperation of Abeille Artist Productions, we exhibit works by artists with disabilities
at our Moriyama Factory, rotating them every three months.
This month’s work is “Narcissist” by Yoshio Hasegawa.
This work expresses his desire to love himself, even if it means becoming a narcissist.
Hasegawa suffers from severe cerebral palsy, and as a child, he would paint by holding a brush
between his feet. As he grew older, he regained control of his hands, but his unique works,
which express feelings he cannot control with a touch of black humor, are very soothing.
His paintings of warm-hearted animals with gentle expressions are very comfort.
Please be sure to check them out when you visit our Moriyama Factory.
