We participated in the R-Gap Project Research poster session at Ryukoku University on Saturday, October 26th.
This year marks the third year for the R-Gap Project Research, an industry-academia
collaboration consortium run by the Shiga Prefectural Federation of Small and Medium
Enterprises and Ryukoku University. We has participated as a judge for the poster session
since the first year.
The R-Gap Project Research aims to develop students’ initiative and problem-solving skills
by having them search for problems on their own, conduct research, experiments, and analysis,
and present the results in the poster session. This year, 30 themes were presented.
Themes that students have taken over from their seniors and are upgrading, and those that
are new to manufacturing. There are various themes, including those that were done alone,
those that were done in a team, those that were completed, and those that were not completed.
What they all had in common was the lively faces of the students making the presentations.
This year, there are four awards named after the judging companies. There is also our
company’s “Shinko Seiki Co., Ltd. Award.” The results of the judging will be announced at
the awards ceremony on November 6th.
Thank you to all the Ryukoku University students who participated in the poster session.
