Shinko Seiki Co., Ltd. is participating in the Capstone Project, run by the Kyoto University of
Advanced Science’s School of Engineering.

This project is a collaborative industry-academia program in which students collaborate with
the university and companies to find solutions to business challenges posed by companies,
serving as the culmination of four years of learning in the School of Engineering.

Third-year students participate as keystones, the pre-capstone stage. Each team consists of
five students, including international students, and will work with companies to solve these
challenges over the course of approximately one year. The interim presentation was held on
Wednesday, November 5th, and many corporate representatives listened with interest to the
students’ poster presentations.

Our team is also working hard to improve the quality of our work in preparation for the final
presentation on December 24th.
